At St. Thomas More, I was the Learning Resource teacher as well as teaching 2nd and 3rd grade. My next stop took me to St. Christina School. I taught 4th grade and then became the Learning Specialist. At this time I was also working with a group of Catholic Learning Specialists to create a center to empower Catholic educators to better serve students with differing needs. After eight years at St. Christina, I became the Coordinator for the Archdiocesan Centers for Inclusive Education. During my time at the centers we offered programs such as the Wilson Reading Program, Essential Learning System, Math remediation, Language Arts support, and Study Skills. In addition to the programs, I did observations and worked with teachers in developing service plans for their students. I also assisted in Individual Education Plans (IEP) and 504 Service plans. Then Mount Assisi Academy asked if I would be interested in being the Director of their Margaretten Program. I went back to the High School I graduated from, sadly Mount Assisi closed. My heart has always been in teaching. I especially enjoy teaching in the Catholic schools to share my faith with my students. Last year I took over for Mrs. Busch in the Resource program while she was on maternity leave. I stayed on subbing and working in the first grade class. I am so happy to be a part of the St. Damian Family. When I am not teaching I enjoy outdoor activities with my family.
